Hal itu dikemukakan Deputi Direktur Pemasaran MBI, Yuniadi Hartono memulai C300 terputus ketika bertemu Ava, Ava E300 dan E63 AMG di Seribu Rasa Restoran, Jakarta, Rabu (19/05/2010).

Dia mengatakan Smart benar-benar berlindung di bawah Daimler AG, namun untuk hadir di Indonesia MBI yang akan bertanggung jawab atas keberadaan dimensi seperti mobil kompak.

"Kalau di Indonesia akan berada di bawah MBI, termasuk jaringan purna jual dan kami dapat menjamin ketersediaan suku cadang," jelas Yuniadi.

Dia juga menambahkan, keinginan untuk membawa Smart didasarkan pada mobil berukuran kecil yang semakin meluas di Indonesia. "Kita melihat kebutuhan mobil kecil di sini juga meningkat, maka kami mencoba untuk menawarkan versi Mercedes," lanjut dia.

Orang ini ramah juga berjanji, di Tanah Air Smart tidak akan dikenakan biaya lebih dari Rp500 juta. "Jelas harganya akan kompetitif dengan mobil kecil lainnya," ujar Yuniadi.
